Glassvase no.4

Glassvase no.4
Ceramic has always been my foundation, a material that grounds me in touch, rhythm, and transformation. Over time, I felt a growing pull to move beyond it and to explore how other materials might carry that same intuitive language.
Returning to a project I began several years ago, I stepped into glass. Translating familiar gestures and forms from clay into this new medium opened an unexpected space for discovery. Each piece is mouth blown in the Netherlands, developed in close collaboration with skilled glassblowers, and shaped through breath, heat, and time.
Glass moves differently. Where ceramic absorbs and settles, glass resists and flows, formed in heat and finding stillness only as it cools. It is at once direct and elusive, transparent yet deeply complex, requiring a different kind of intuition.
These works remain rooted in my ceramic practice, yet exist as a translation rather than a reproduction. No molds are used and no two pieces are ever the same. Subtle variations, air bubbles, and irregularities are inherent to the process, traces of movement that give each object its singular character.
This collection marks a gradual shift in my practice. While 2222STUDIO remains an essential part of my story, I am creating space for work under my own name, more personal, more instinctive, and closer to the core of what drives me.
Each vase exists between function and sculpture, capturing a moment where control meets chance, and material is allowed to find its own form.
To preserve its quality, hand washing is recommended and sudden temperature changes should be avoided.
